Jul. 19, 2012 : “Due to the fact my husband and I are both wedding photographers, we had many ideas of what we wanted for our wedding right after we were engaged. We knew we wanted to get married in Jackson Square, so we wanted an awesome space nearby. I’ve always loved the grandeur of the ballroom at the Bourbon Orleans. It’s so beautiful and full of character before you even put any decoration in the room. We actually didn’t even look anywhere else — for the amount of guests we were having, and the location of our ceremony, it was just perfect. We were well-taken care of by Alyssa. We worked on our menu and our special requests months in advance. She made sure our special requests were carried out on the wedding day and worked with our coordinator to make sure everything was set up as we previously discussed. When we came upstairs to take a peek before our cocktail hour, I was breathless. It looked incredible!! It was better than I had imagined. The staff that took care of us on the wedding day was great. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. Thanks for helping make our wedding day the best day of our lives!”

May. 10, 2011 : I just wanted to thank you for making Jennifer’s wedding such a memorable event. We received so many compliments throughout the night about the food, the service and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Your help with the table placements, food selection and all those decisions we had to make were invaluable! Thanks for putting all of the favors out and making sure they were replenished throughout the night. Thanks for answering my thousands of questions throughout the process of putting the reception together. Your hard work and dedication to your job is truly appreciated! Thanks again for all your help. You have provided us with memories that will last a lifetime!

Nov. 23, 2010 : I really am at a loss for words when I think about my wedding venue. My fiance (now husband) and I wanted to get married in a French Quarter courtyard with palm & banana trees on Halloween weekend. We live in Chicago, so we packed a bunch of venues into one short New Orleans visit. From the moment I walked into the St Louis Hotel’s courtyard, I knew this was were I was going to be married. Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Rachel and Tracy were amazing hotel/catering coordinators. They walked me through the whole process and quickly responded to every email/call I sent them…for a whole year! We had both our ceremony and reception in the courtyard. It was just stunning. There was ample space for our 100 guests, but it never felt empty. The courtyard was so gorgeous that I barely needed any flowers or decorations (big money-saver!). My husband and I are so very happy with our experience at the St Louis Hotel!

Nov. 23, 2010 : Louis XVI was a perfect choice for our wedding catering. Rachel made choosing our menu so easy. She even made sure that our vegetarian guests were well-fed (which is really hard to find in New Orleans). I didn’t get to try all of the dishes, but the ones I did try were AMAZING! Let’s face it, no matter how great a chef is, cooking gourmet meals for 100+ people is always hard. Louis XVI pulled it off with perfect New Orleans grace and a lot of fresh ingredients…and yummy spices too. We can’t wait to go back to New Orleans and have dinner in the restaurant!

Oct. 4, 2010 : I’ve stayed at the Bourbon Orleans three times now so far. Once about a year and a half ago, once last November, and once just a few weeks ago. After I stayed there the first time, I got engaged and remembered the beautiful ballroom and friendly staff and decided to host our wedding ceremony and reception there. The staff is SO very nice here. Each time I stayed, the front desk staff, the bellmen, and the concierge went out of their way to make sure that our stay was pleasant. Each time, I never had a problem with the cleanliness of our room. It was clean and comfortable. I will agree that some of the rooms are on the smaller side, but this is a hotel with literally THE best location in the French Quarter, so what do you expect? Also, in respect to other comments about the noise… people, it’s on BOURBON STREET. If you want a nice quiet stay in a huge, brand new hotel room, then you really shouldn’t be staying on Bourbon Street. Try a hotel by the airport. Same goes for parking. Seriously, there is nowhere on Bourbon Street you will find with free parking, so just expect to pay for it. We had appx. 150 guests stay at the hotel, and I didn’t hear any complaints. I did, however, hear compliments on the staff, as well as the charming decor of the Bourbon Orleans. Once again, this is an older hotel, so the furniture is not modern and brand new, which is actually what I (and so many others) loved about the Bourbon Orleans. It has an old world New Orleans charm that can’t be matched by the cookie cutter hotels that are brand new. It’s located between Jackson Square (and a block from St. Louis Cathedral), and Bourbon Street. If you want to experience New Orleans first hand, this is the place to be. Also, for our wedding, the staff was amazing, the ballroom was perfect, and the food was delicious. I’m quite shocked at some of the negative reviews on here about the Bourbon Orleans. All of our guests were compimenting us on the hotel choice and some from other states said they’d love to return and stay at the Bourbon Orleans again. I’ve stayed at all of the other hotels on Bourbon, and most on Canal for leisure, Mardi Gras, functions, and conferences, and the Bourbon Orleans shines for character, perfect location, excellent service, and true New Orleans charm.

Aug. 14, 2010 : The St. Louis Hotel courtyard is just a magical setting — even the seen-it-all locals who came to my wedding were blown away. The service was top notch and far beyond what I ever could have expected. And the food was amazing.

Aug. 9, 2010 : We held our ceremony and reception at the Bourbon Orleans in the Orleans Ballroom and I couldn’t have been happier. The Orleans ballroom is a beautiful backdrop for either your ceremony or reception with antique furnishings and gorgeous chandeliers. We didn’t want to get married in a meeting space, and this ballroom definitely is a place of celebration, not just boring old conferences! The staff was amazing, including the wedding coordinator (it is free with the reception). That alone was worth having the wedding there because I always had someone to contact directly if I had any questions, and also on the night of the reception, someone who took care of all the little things that you don’t want to think about on your wedding day. The staff cut our cake for free (don’t be fooled, some places charge a hefty fee for this), the food was delicious, and we recieved so many compliments from our guests on the venue. The Bourbon Orleans also has longstanding relationships with a lot of the best vendors in New Orleans, so they can recommend trusted vendors that they know will deliver. The best part of the Bourbon Orleans, however, is the location. Right between St. Louis Cathedral and Bourbon Street, it is within walking distance to everything your guests could want to see/eat/experience. Our guests are naming our wedding the “best wedding ever” because of the venue as well as the ability to experience New Orleans first hand by staying here. If you’re undecided about where to host your French Quarter wedding, take a look at the Bourbon Orleans!!

Jul. 2, 2010 : Rachel sold us on the Louis – she was wonderful to work with. But the evening of the event your staff confirmed everything she promised. They were amazing as was your chef. We were thrilled with the event – my friends and family from Virginia were so complementary as were the bride’s family. Thanks so much for a wonderful rehearsal dinner!

Jun. 9, 2010 : My son and daughter-in-law selected this site for their wedding reception. It was absolutely phenomenal. I received numerous positive comments stating that this was by far the best wedding reception they had ever attended. The set up was nothing short of elegant and the food was undeniably THE BEST I’ve ever had at a wedding reception. My son and daughter-in-law had decided to go with a traditional New Orleans style food buffet and, seriously, each station was better than the next! The waitstaff were extremely courteous and efficient. There was someone designated specifically to my son and daughter-in-law’s need throughout the entire event. It was simply amazing! They even permitted us to have the traditional New Orleans Wedding Jazz Band parade that led us from the church to this venue come inside and play until everyone had entered, then the DJ took over. What a wonderful night! And, what a spectacular memory it made for all attendees, especially the newlyweds. We were quite fortunate in that there had been an event prior that had flowers in the huge bowl above the beautiful fountain, which gave the room such an elegant appearance. The only oversight was that the bananas foster station was out of the way and most people missed it. Otherwise, perfection at its finest!

May. 8, 2010 : Thank you for coordinating such a perfect wedding. The courtyard was absolutely stunning and everything turned out better than I ever imagined! My only wish is that it could have gone on forever…… Thank you! Samantha

Apr. 28, 2010 : I don’t know how to put in words how wonderful my son’s wedding was at the St. Louis Hotel. Many guests continue to tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever experienced. The food was amazing, and the layout was spectacular. The courtyard was perfect for the band with the beautiful fountain …and all of the guests could sit in any of the 4 private rooms surrounding the courtyard. The wind picked up that day, and the cover was perfect. We felt as if we were outside, but were completely protected from the wind. I am confident we selected the best wedding venue in New Orleans. 😉 Judy

Apr. 15, 2010 : We loved our wedding in New Orleans!
