Location Ceremonies Our minister will travel anywhere in the tri-parish area, with the exception of Grand Isle Louisiana, to perform services at your home or desired location. The fee is $150.00 for weddings Monday through Thursday and $175.00 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or if it is a holiday or special event. However, weddings performed in the French Quarter, Central Business District (CBD), Downtown Hotels or at any cruise ship berths at the Julia Street Wharf, the fee is $175.00 Monday through Thursday and $200.00 Friday, Saturday, Sunday or holidays and special events.
Of course I would suggest the New Orleans Wedding Chapel, however, I have to admit if you have chosen New Orleans as your wedding site, you have chosen a city rich in public as well as private locations to exchange your marriage vows. From the streetcars on St. Charles Avenue, to the Moon Walk over looking the Mississippi River, to the uniqueness of Jackson Square, are just a few of the many locations unique to this old and romantic city. Do remember, New Orleans is semi-tropical. When choosing an outside location, always have an indoors alternative should the typical sudden showers appear.
If you wish to have the minister attend the dinner there is no charge but must be arranged in advance. I would like to say that my staff and I are all well seasoned and should be considered quick studies. In other words, if you have a competent coordinator, there really is no need for the Officiant to be at the rehearsal. We will provide excellent coordination should you require it.
Interviewing an Officiant before engaging that person to perform in the most memorable part of your life is a rule at the New Orleans Wedding Chapel, not an exception. All interviews are at no cost to the prospective bride and groom.
We offer a wide range of services, from those who would like a traditional ceremony to those who prefer a civil ceremony. We also offer a wide range of ceremonies in between. The only way we can know the type of service you require is for you to tell us beforehand. Getting married is not like buying an adjustable baseball cap; one size does not fit all. There are few things more important than the words that join a man and woman in matrimony. Our purpose is to provide the highest quality of service to anyone choosing the City of New Orleans as their wedding site.

It has been our experience that the personal nature of flowers requires hands on attention and we suggest if you are coming from out of state, that you see your local florist, pick the exact flowers and colors you like and have that order wired to a local florist in New Orleans. It is always nice to have your bouquet made especially for your wedding but sometimes with last minute arrangements it is often overlooked. We do have several bouquets and they are very pretty and available for the bride's use. There is no charge for this service.
For the Bride, there is a dressing room so she may change from "street clothes" into her wedding attire. However, the Bride should come already made up including her hair so we may stay on schedule. A separate facility is available for the groom as well.
Personal vows can be used with any of our ceremonies. All you need to do is inform us before the wedding and we will include them in your ceremony. If you would like to write your own wedding ceremony, that is no problem. All we request is that you send a copy at least two weeks in advance or e-mail us no less than one week in advance. We will be glad to perform the ceremony as you have written.
We have in-house wedding coordinators as well as coordinators we use as sub-contractors. Some very large weddings require the right person, with just the right connections, to make your special day happen. Pricing can be arranged on a percentage basis or on a flat fee.
I can't tell you how many times good intentioned people have come to Louisiana with what they thought was a certified copy of their Divorce decree and were turned away because it wasn't. It is really worth the effort to check with your local authority and make sure you have the proper documents. Remember to ask for the 72 hour waiver. It won't cost you anything and you will receive it. But unless you ask for it, no one will know to give it to you. When you are from out of state and do not have a certified copy of you birth certificate, but have a government issued ID such as a driver's license, passport, military ID etc., it is possible for a judge to waive that requirement, and they usually will waive it, however there is no waiver for the uncertified copy of your divorce decree or death certificate if widowed. This, the judge cannot waive by the Laws of Louisiana. Please be sure to bring CERTIFIED copies of your divorce decree or death certificates if it applies to your circumstances.

If you have chosen the New Orleans Wedding Chapel as your location, portrait grade professional photography is included in all wedding services. Professional photography with our staff photographer is always available. Location photography, as well as portrait packages are offered and prices will vary depending on your choice.
Your video will begin with a professionally produced, breathtaking overview of the City of New Orleans including the names of the Bride and Groom and the date of your ceremony. The minister performing the ceremony will have an introductory message just prior to the start of the service. Complete coverage of the ceremony will include the Bride's entrance to the Chapel and continue though to the recessional of the Groom and Bride into our beautiful double parlor. This will not be a "silent movie"; all spoken words by the Bride and Groom as well as the minister will be carefully captured. Following the nuptials, the newlyweds are interviewed. The video of your special occasion will conclude with an epilogue by the minister. The video will be processed in VHS format and will be shipped in two to three weeks. The exclusive video of your ceremony is priced at $225.00 plus applicable sales tax and includes shipping and handling.
